Dyscalculia assessments for children.
Dyslexia South provides a comprehensive dyscalculia diagnostic assessment service which will produce a detailed analysis of how your child is learning and issues they may be facing regarding their numerical understanding, problem-solving skills, and mathematical reasoning.
Child assessments are for those under 16-years of age, please see our adult assessment page if you are over 16 years old. Assessments are conducted using internationally recognised standardised psychometric assessment batteries such as the Woodcock Johnson Cognitive and the WIAT III. Dyscalculia and dyslexia can often co-occur, and so it is possible to assess just dyscalculia, or to combine this with a dyslexia assessment.
Our reports also make exam access arrangement recommendations in line with the most up-to-date guidance. As Dana is APC registered, reports can be used to apply for DSA in the future if required.
